Lyn and Bill have written articles for numerous national
magazines. Lyn is the author of the book Coping With Caring; Daily
Reflections for Alzheimer's Caregivers, published by Elder Books in
1996. Journey Publications has published a new revised edition of Coping
With Caring; When Someone You Love Has Alzheimer’s or a Related Disorder,
in 2006. After the first edition was published, Lyn and Bill lived in
their motorhome and traveled the U. S. giving workshops to caregivers
titled "A Breath of Fresh Air." They also created and presented
"How To Be A Friend To An Alzheimer's Caregiver" to churches and
civic organizations.
They found that almost everyone they met had a book or a magazine
article "inside" them, too. Thousands of people around the
country asked how to get published. Together Lyn and Bill wrote a
manual and companion audiocassette titled How To Sell It Before You Write
It. The manual birthed seminars given in public libraries
to aspiring writers.
In the summer of 2004 Lyn and Bill co-authored a new book Sharing
The Care; When Someone You Love Resides in an Adult Care Facility, published
by Journey Publications. Lyn and Bill are the founders of Journey
Publications, whose motto is "Caring enough to
share."

Lyn and Bill are guest lecturers every year at
South Florida Community College’s Lifetime Learners series. Two series favorites presented are “It Ain’t
Quittin’ Time!” and “What’s Successful Aging Anyway?” Both students and
presenters on both sides of the lectern enjoy a lot of fun and class
participation.
The couple continues writing and is currently working on an inspirational novel
series. They are popular entertaining speakers. They delight
in sharing uplifting and exciting "life encounters"
with fellow Baby Boomers & Beyonds. Call or email them for speaking
arrangements, rates, and schedules.
Lyn and Bill live in central Florida with their two Maine Coon Cats
- Zoë and Gizmo. For many years they have facilitated a local weekly
caregiver group. They love traveling when they can in their
motorhome—complete with their writing essentials; two wireless
computers and two supportive felines. Lyn's favorite quote is by
Robertson Davies, "Authors like cats because they are such quiet, lovable,
wise creatures, and cats like authors for the same reason."
The Roches have four perfect children, two wonderful sons-in-law,
one totally awesome grand daughter and one equally awesome grandson–all remain
so for fear of what they might actually read about themselves in Boomers &
Beyond! And, unlike the two cats, they prefer their real names not appear
in print.
